There were eight bowlers last week and they had a great after- noon. Stella Brunelles Brown team beat Pat Joness Black team, 15-10. Come out and join them on a Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. Watercolour classes restart on Wednesday, Oct. 10. There is a signup sheet if you are interested. Maria Sallay is the well-qualified teacher and I am sure you have all seen sam- ples of her beautiful pictures around town. The Scrapbooking and Memories presenta- tion wasnt very well attended, which is a shame as everyone who was here learned a few new tricks and skills. Scrapbooking starts again on Monday, October 15, 6:45 p.m. and will run once a month if there is enough interest. If you are interested, just show up with your pictures. Mae Milton had the only mooner at last Thursdays bid euchre. Congratulations Mae. Sheila Foster tells me she is close to the 500 goal for Izzy Dolls, but she still needs more to accomplish this. Now that fall is here, and we arent as busy outside, it is a great time to keep those fingers nimble and knit these simple dolls. If you need wool give Sheila a call. As I mentioned before they are used in areas where there are landmines to make children aware of the dangers. Dont forget to vote on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Your vote might make a difference! Another important date is the 2007 Influenza Immunization Clinic for seniors and high priority individuals on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1-7 p.m. It will be in the community hall, adjoining the Acton Seniors Centre. You do not need an appointment. Lloyd Broostad won the 50/50 this Friday so he will be able to take Shirley out to dinner this week!
