Decorate the outside for a Spooky House & enter to win! For many years, our Halloween ritual has involved decorating the exterior of our house to make it scary for the children, as well as their parents, who will visit on the night of October 31st. Everybody is proud to have their neighbours come over to see their house. If the visi- tors come from further away, the pride only increas- es. Every year, Halloween fanatics start decorating weeks in advance in order to create their own authentic haunted house. The following Halloween decorating ideas for the exterior will certainly add a little sting to the celebration of fear. To start, a fake tomb is always a classic. To put it in place, create a tomb on the ground with a mound of earth between 4 boards, and a bouquet of dead flow- ers. At the foot of the tomb, bury the heels of an old pair of shoes, letting the toes stick out. Add an upright tombstone (made of wood, for example) with some- thing like Here Dracula rests in peace written on it. Another good idea is to install a scarecrow to add a bit of terror to the treats you have in store for your visitors. Start by selecting a site to place the scare- crow. It can be sitting on a bench, behind the garden gate, hiding behind a black sheet, under a treeThen, stuff some clothes with straw or old rags, and use a nicely carved and lit pumpkin for the head. It is also fun to decorate the front of our home, by creating a spider web using strings, for example. You only have to add a few strands of orange and red lights around the windows, the door, and along the roof. You can then create fibrous spider webs in front of the windows or the door. Halloween sounds are also great. The ideal is to place speakers around the garden with howls, screeching voic- es, slamming doors, screams of terror, sawing sounds, without forgetting to include many silent moments LWAYS CARRY A FLASHLIGHT WITH YOU WHEN TRICK-OR-TREATING AT NIGHT. ACKETS PROVIDE WARMTH. TAKE ONE WITH YOU ON A COOL HALLOWEEN NIGHT. UY COSTUMES THAT ARE MADE OF FLAME-RESISTANT MATERIALS. OSTUMES SHOULD BE BRIGHT ENOUGH FOR OTHERS TO SPOT YOU IN THE DARK.
