Halton Police are asking for help from the public in tracking down a strangely dressed man who was seen at an area school and church recently in a beige, grey, champagne or simi- larly coloured SUV with a partial licence plate A--175. Police received an initial report of an odd-looking man in his 40s, wear- ing a fake mustache and appearing to try to make himself look like a char- acter from the kids show Lazy Town seen driving through the parking lot at Pineview School on Five Sideroad last Thursday afternoon (Oct. 25). The man was in a large greyish- brown SUV similar to a GMC Suburban and was dangling a blue 8 teddy bear out the window while his stereo was blaring. Since then, two other sightings of the man have been reported to police. Shortly after noon on Oct. 25 a witness saw a man wearing a fake mustache and blue bandana driving a large beige SUV in the parking lot of Holy Cross Church on Maple Ave. The man was talking to a young girl. On Wednesday (Oct. 31), shortly after 1 p.m., students and staff from Pineview School saw a man get out of a vehicle and approach the Kindergarten fence area. The man is described as white, wearing full white face paint and a black cowboy hat with purple glitter around the rim, beige pants and a blue shirt.
