The Georgetown District High School grad said that he became interested in mixed martial arts after watching the Ultimate Fighting shows on televi- sion and originally began training at Borelands gym on Armstrong Ave. just to get in shape, not necessarily to become a professional fighter. I remember the first guy I sparred with at the gym weighed about 140 pounds and he took me apart in no time, recalled Vujnovic, who uses his farmhouse reach and massive hands to neutralize his opponent on the mat. That really motivated me and showed me what it was going to take to be successful at this, and I wont ever forget that. The training thats involved is quite a bit, but I think its worth it. I run all over town, during the winter even, to stay in shape. Also on the MFC High Rollers card tonight from the Boreland stable is light heavyweight Ray Penny of Georgetown, wholl take on Dwayne Lewis at the sold-out River Cree Resort & Casino.
