Acton/Georgetown, Friday, September 26, 2008 3 An Acton and Rockwood man are facing charges in connection with the theft of a 2002 Ford Windstar from Rockwood Saturday morn- ing. Wellington OPP report that at about 6:14 a.m. officers responded to a single-car accident on Watson Rd. in Puslinch Township. The collision occurred when a 2002 Ford Windstar left the road for no apparent reason and entered the ditch. The driver fled the scene. Investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Rockwood at 5:45 a.m. that morn- ing. The canine unit was brought in to search the area for the driver, an Acton man, who was later found and taken into custody. Charged with theft over $5,000 and failing to comply with his probation order is Kevin Boyd Fabian, 38, of Acton. Also charged with theft over $5,000 was Christopher Glen Paton, 34, of Rockwood, a pas- senger in the van. He was taken to Guelph General Hospital where he was treated for non- life threatening injuries and released. *** Police are investigating three hit and run col- lisions in Georgetown over the past few days. On Wednesday, $500 damage was caused to a Chevrolet Blazer when it was hit by another vehicle while it was parked in the lot at Home Hardware on Guelph St. between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. A Toyota Sienna van received damage when it was struck while parked in a driveway on Roane Ave. late Sunday or sometime Monday. Approximately $900 damage was caused to a Silverado pickup truck parked at the A & P on Sinclair Ave. Monday between 10 and 10:45 p.m. when someone hit the bumper and tailgate. *** A Georgetown man was charged with having over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood after a vehicle was seen being driven erratically in the Mountainview Rd. and Resource Rd. area Saturday evening at about 8:50 p.m. Charged is Glenn Patrick Cassibo, 39, of Webster Way, Georgetown. *** A Halton Hills man is facing charges after a single-vehicle accident at Fourth Line and Ten Sideroad at about 10:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle rolled over several times and the driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charged with impaired driving and refuse to provide a breath sample is Kevin James Goldie, 34, of Sixth Line. *** Police have charged a 17-year-old Georgetown male with arson in connection with a fire in a porta-potty at a construction site in the Guelph St. and Maple Ave. area on August 6. *** Police report about $200 worth of damage was caused at Georgetown Market Place when someone spray-painted graffiti on the Zellers building sometime Monday or Tuesday. A permanent marker was used to write graffiti on the inside of one of the stalls of the mens washroom at the food court of Georgetown Market Place sometime between 6 and 9 p.m. Monday.
