HELSON, Margaret Elizabeth Peacefully, with her husband by her side on Tuesday September 30th, 2008 at the George- town Hospital. Margaret (nee Hoare), in her 87th year, beloved wife and best friend of Fre- drick Helson. Survived by her brothers Jack and his wife Blanche Hoare and Robert and his wife Betty Kelly. Predeceased by her siblings Edward and his wife Hazel Hoare, Isabelle and her husband Tom Johanson, Evelyn and her husband Frank Tost, George and his wife Dollie Hoare, Charles and his wife Mary Hoare, William and his wife Murt Kelly and Reginald and his wife May Hoare. Marg was a very ac- tive person during her lifetime. She was a fine athlete during her high school days and was an excellent speed-skater and later on became an excellent skier. She took to curling and early on Marg skipped the winning woman's team at the North Halton Golf and Country Club. During all her lifetime, Marg loved nature and animals of all kinds, particularly her many dogs. She had a passion for music and all of the other arts. Re- cently, Marg and her husband were honoured by "Arts Alive" as patrons of the arts in George- town over the past 25 years. Marg joined the Bank of Commerce when she was 16 and spent the next 44 years at the Georgetown branch until she retired. Friends will be re- ceived at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
