Despite the friendly competition, the two stores work together ver y well, Van Rooyen says. The Kia Super- store at the intersection of Guelph Street and Mountain- view Road (where Tasi works) sells high-quality used vehi- cles, while Georgetown Kia, (Van Rooyens store) located on Guelph Street beside A&P, of fers new cars, trucks and SUVs. Photos by Andrea Lefebvre They say two heads are better than one. The same can be said for Kia dealerships, say John Van Rooyen and Rob Tasi, the general managers at Georgetowns two Kia stores. You get twice the service, twice the staff and great availability, says Tasi, the general manager of the Kia Superstore. The two dealerships offer different products and services, says John Van Rooyen, the general manager at Georgetown Kia. The Kia Superstore at the intersec- tion of Guelph and Mountainview sells high-quality used vehicles, while Georgetown Kia, located on Guelph Street beside A&P, offers new cars, trucks and SUVs. As is the case with any family, there is a healthy competitive spirit between the two dealerships. Both stores have some notable accomplishments: the Kia Superstore has the most sales of all the used car deal- erships in the Halton region. Georgetown Kia, on the other hand, has the highest market share on Kia of any dealership in southwestern Ontario. Despite the friendly competition, the two stores work together very well, Van Rooyen says. Im an older guy and Ive been in the car business for awhile, he says. The guys at the Superstore are the youngest and brightest in the business. When you put us together, it seems to work well.
