Darcie-Boyes garden Vows
In a garden ceremony under a trellis arch at the bride's home, Hildale Acres, R.R. 5, Milton, Hilda Frances Boyes and Lou Cuthbert Darcie were married at noon, July 6. Rev. Peter Barrow officiated.
The bride is a teacher-librarian at Stewarttown school and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Reginald Boyes, R.R. 1, Meaford.
The groom, a native of Bermuda, is the son of Mrs. Alice Ray of Bermuda and had been living in Endicott N.Y. He is a technical engineer with I.B.M.
Honeymoon
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Bermuda and are living in Halton Hills.
Organist for the ceremony was Dale Wood and the soloists were Brenda McNeil and the groom.
The bride made her own veil and gown of organza and lace trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white basket of red roses. She wore pearls belonging to the groom's mother.
The maid of honor Joanne Mackie made her own gown and coat of pink and carried a basket of pink carnations and white daisies.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Groomsman was Thomas Darcie, broher of the groom: ushers Kenneth and Donald Boyes, brothers of the bride.
Buffet luncheon followed on the lawn.
Guests
Guests were present from California, New York State, Bermuda, Manitoulin Island, Owen Sound and Meaford.
Stewarttown school staff held a shower at the home of Mrs. Barry Brown. An envelope shower was given by St. Vincent Women's Institute at he home of the bride's mother.
