- MACDONALD, Verna, Vera -- After a courageous battle with cancer, at the Cross Cancer Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Verna Beaty of Edmonton, Alberta formerly of Hillsburgh and Guelph. Beloved wife of the late Bill MacDonald (1975). Loving mother of Sandra Mollison, Bradley, Barry and his wife Cindy, and Terry and her husband Peter Chaffa. Devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Dear daughter of Leona Bolek. Also survived by sisters Claudia (Mrs. James Gibson) of Guelph, and Rose Culp of Limehouse. A memorial Service was held on Friday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. from the Memories Funeral Home in Edmonton, Alberta.
