lovers and connoisseurs of the sounds of the times the Sun played such greats as Whiskey Train and Summertime Blues Special thanks go to the grade 12 Physical Education classes Mrs and Mr Andrews for the work they put Into the Coffee House to make it one of the year s most memorable events Heather Under the supervision of Mr Bruce with the help of a few grade students from his physical education classes the torchlight parade finally got under way Just after seven clock last Tuesday night Plans were begun for the annual cavalcade many weeks before and much hard work determination and imagination resulted In Its once more being a huge success Materials for the floats were begged borrowed or stolen from every conceivable source Including local factories basements of private homes sound of Shean Lonely Hearts Club Band Joe followed playing the accordion Joe play Prelude and Prelude and Dance Frank sang Did He Mention My Name and A Song of Freedom She was accompanied by Scott Watson St Stephen Yu on the guitars They called themselves and the Chris Brunei le our 1971 Carnival Queen made an appearance and M C Mr Shean presented her with a bouquet of red roses Next followed a modern dance It was the first time that boys had danced seriously on the Acton stage The partners were Jackie Lee and George and Janice Kilfman and Henry Van They resembled black panthers in their Chorus sang three songs one which was The Cornfields Back Home This group was very popular with the audience Sharon sang Angel of the Morning and Scarborough Fab- Sharon was accompanied by the Stephen
