Wi Rock and Broom mostly corn By Bob Mac Arthur Here are a few versesf ditties sung at various curling clubs from the hack with the greatest of ease Sometimes on our fannies sometimes on our knees Our actions are graceful we try hard to please But oh how those stones roll away we try hard to take And If we succeed that Is one lucky break that we miss would make any heart ache In the Acton Curling Club My lead is a terrible curler My third got to bed lust fore dawn My seconds an absolute washout Whose rinks are the good curlers on give me your signal do I m just freezing waiting to hear from do hope you want an in turn not so good on the out turn But dan t make it hard and ask tor a guard For that the one shot I can do This being the last column for the season I thought the above were fitting They express some thoughts that have gone through the minds of most curlers during the season Some of the thoughts of various skips would not be permissible in this family type Journal But that is part of the charm of the game of curling As a to the may I express my sincere thanks to all who have assisted In bits of information for the column This help has been appreciated And if the column has in any way helped the club it has been a success This Saturday will see the presentation of prizes to all winning rinks who have won trophies over the season There is supper and then presentations Other business will come before the meeting But this Is not the annual meeting at which the directors of the club will be elected That meeting will take place after the 1st of June Plan
