School This was their first competitive game of the season and they were defeated Friday and Saturday Mr Cayer and Mrs Fleming attended a conference for Ontario Modern language Teachers Association It was held the Ontario Institute for Studies In Education on Street In Toronto The purpose was to bring all of the modern language teachers in this province together to discuss pertinent points Mr Cayer cubs and scouts from the North Ha I ton area assisted In the Trees tor Canada reforestation project In driving rain at three district con servation areas Saturday Cubs and scouts worked all day to plant small trees In spite of inclement weather and oodles of mud at Hilton Falls Hillsburgh and Leaders set up a field kitchen and served meals at the nearby Milton Falls site near Kelso as girl guides assisted with the chores Now the boys will return to those who pledged trees to advise them exactly how many they planted and to collect their money Trees for Canada has been labelled a resounding success by the four participating groups- boy scouts conservation authorities students and faculty of Sheridan College and the Optimists Success of this pilot project which was launched
