Competing against her were fellow students Also honored for their speaking abilities were Alice Klaer 12 whose eye witness account of a plane crash won her the honor of top speaker of grade six and grade eight pupil Alice who was Judged the best grade eight speaker for her talk on freedom Alice Klaver received a book called Spies and Spies for her efforts while Alice Summerficld was awarded a book on the complete works of William Shakespeare Carol was presented with a school troph Attending the contest were the school s student body and the staff plus several parents Judges for the contest
