made a sweep of events at a Cadet a held at recently in competitions between 250 and 300 boys from different cadet corps The Acton club strong took three of the five relay races in compass reading knot tying lashing pyramid building and ice rescue to take the day trophy while the four counsellors took the only trophy open to them pyramid building To cap the day off the Acton corps also took the overall Challenge trophy for the yearround competition between the clubs They chalked up a point lead over their nearest competitors at the winter snow games in February and managed to hold on with a slim lead at the end of the Cadet a Accepts trophj Jack Trass accepted the Challenge trophy on behalf of the Acton club from the president of the Cadet Corps Council from Stoney Creek Head counsellor John Oosterhof said the boys really worked hard at the competitions to bring home the trophy for the best performance of the day He is helped by Hank Klcine Deters Richard Van and Henry Kroes
