operated an oldfashioned spinning wheel on a float depicting those Hard But Happy Times designed by girls in the age group with the help of leaders Mitchell and Donna Drew The float earned the nod of Judges parka and recreation chairman Hugh Patterson and wife Marlon as the best in a field of sis that entered the parade Patterson presented the trophy at the end of the program as the happy young ladles all dolledup In their bonnets and long dresses Jumped for joy Kings and queens Six other ladles and gentlemen suitably attired for the occasion were introduced individually to the audience of parents and presented with carnations by playground supervisor Wendy Bell at the start of the program Mr and Mrs Playground In the year old age group were Brian and Sharon Archibald David Uterwyck and
