with Whiting with 20 and with votes Halton was one of ridings In Ontario the Liberals lost to the Tories In all the Liberals lost 27 seats in this province Early Tuesday morning it appeared the Liberals could form a minority government with 108 seats while the PC held 107 and four seats had yet to be decided NDP had scored 29 wins and the Socreds 14 Fate known early In Whiting fate was marked early in the evening Just minutes after the polls closed the tally boards in committee rooms around the county showed OConnor leading with to Whiting s and a Whiting had won the first poll reporting but soon trailed That set the trend and it never changed By eight clock O Connor had moved to a lead of votes An hour later that lead swelled to 1 700 and by 25 p jn the tally showed Whiting
