Aptitudes Friday morning the Grade Nines wrote the Ontario SCAT tests These were to test aptitudes for future careers Alan Eastwood Science head went to the Science Centre in Toronto Friday for a convention Due to being too busy Mr Rowley and Dr Tamblyn make it Bottle drive The last week of the bottle drive sponsoring the students going to Spain and Halifax was last Saturday The students not only earned money but also had a great tune See computer Lord Elgin has a computer and it for this purpose that Brian took his Grade Math class there Monday these 18 students went to see it operate no teams were fielded for two reasons money and the lack of suitable opponents It is very difficult for a school of students to compete against schools that are three or four times as large Certainly it is almost impossible to hove a winning team under these circumstances But this year we arc certainly going to give it a good try JUNIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL The season ended two weeks ago Coached by Carl a French teacher the team played well but was outclassed by the larger schools On the season our boys won seven out of 35 games Congratulations to Dave Ron Moore Jim Hurley Dave Mills Kevin Glen lce and Robin Happiness is closet shopping studies lectures and discussions on methods of teaching Geography Thursday evening there was a one night and Friday night the members of the C had a social basketball team are being coached by Guidance head Brian rtny have practising ruesday night for the past month with approximately 12 players showing up purchasing sales inventory accounting display
