hard to get together a suitable program but they could not have done it without the help of the other students A school band has been organized Ten members of the Acton Citizens Band tune got together in the school and Janice Gibson the group was formed On Monday the band had a performance at Z Bennett in the afternoon and evening Wednesday they will per form at Sunshine School and Thursday at Robert Little The band will also play at the assembly at the high school on Friday The group twice a week Their band leader is volunteer Gmny Bliss a former music teacher from the States Advanced Acton High School Ian McGllllvray and Mr Campbell are brothers inlaw Other teachers from Roland Michcner School attended Lord Elgin High School and St Thomas More High School in Hamilton that day they went on to two schools in Toronto Thlstletown and Newton brook Roland High School is presently on a program called Flexible Modular Scheduling a system similar to ones operating in some of the Quebec
