and helped with household chores The Hornby community was saddened to lose one of their oldest residents recently Mr George Leslie away at Milton Hospital on June his year Survived He is survived by his wife Jessie two sons Douglas of Hornby and Dave of Georgetown There arc four daughters Charlotte McPhedran of Acton of Rich Hill Florence Barber of Toronto and Catherine of Oak Ridges Mr Leslie will also be missed by twenty nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren Born George Leslie was bom at Ossowa Manitoba on Oct 9 as his parents John and Mary Leslie made their way Road widening enthusiast and followed the Hornby hockey cam many a cold night no heated arenas then to cheer and encourage his favorite team He was almost as faith ful a bat fan Mr Leslie was a member of the Hornby Presbyterian Church The funeral was held on Tuesday June from the McKersic Funeral Home Milton The Rev John Murray conducted the ser vice Pallbearers were all neigh bours McDowell Dave McMillan ng
