WEDDING anniversary was celebrated on the weekend by Mr and Mrs Smith The reception was in Ballinafad hall Mr Mrs Smith 50 years wed By Mrs It The weekend of October was a happy time for a couple here in when Mr and Mrs Frank Smith were honored on heir golden wedding anniversary On Saturday evening the family githcred at the nome of Doris and Charlie Burt line Erin where delicious dinner party was in charcoal suit was a hand same groom with white in his buttonhole lapel Their three daughters Mrs Burt Mrs Doris Burt who arc twins and Mrs Joyce Swnnn were also at tired In lovely floral floor length the granddaughters who Berved tea and showered the guests with happy hospitality Mrs GriffinJones of bury a dear friend had charge of the guest book Girts cards Many beautiful gifts and cards a beautiful bouquet of red roses graced the front of the reception room Frank and Hull were married Oct 1924 In Church by the late Rev Caldwell It was the first wedding In that church for years Fronk was a veteran of World War I and had served In Mesopotamia in Ihe exped ition along the River Tunis when his battalion had been sent to relieve General troops His birthplace was In London England but Ireland In May They had come together as friends of about four months We know a soul ex for a former school mate of my husband related Mrs She ex plained that after the wed ding they visited Niagara Falls and then went to Acton where John Graham her husband a friend resided Acton residents Mr and Mrs O lived In for five years In they moved to a farm In Esqueslng where they stayed and raised their
