Scout and Guide news James Saxon of the first Acton Scout troop received his Pathfinder award last Thursday evening That mo evening Jim completed his Gold Safety badge This badge plus his Gold Citizen Explorers Camp Craft and Winter Scouting qualified him for award Jim also two Bronze awards and a number of challenge badges This award is second only to the Chief Scout award pre sented by His Excellency Governor General Jutes Jim is he first Acton Scout to earn the award since the Scouts introduced This is Jims second year with the troop Apple Day Friday and Saturday was the annual apple day a name which has become with Scouting The Scouts were out at the fnc- tones and stores Friday Cubs and Scouts were going doortodoor asking for your support The Venturers also assisted a of hot chocolate and donuts supplied ihc Scout and Guide mothers the Scouts went downtown to ask for some more donations Some people said that they had been to death but these some people who know what bays
