Scout and Guide news Last weekend was very Important or senior Wolf Cubs of North District A camp was held at Rock- wood Conservation Area to prepare the boys to Join Scouts in the near future In the Victoria long weekend If Scouts dont have their money and forms in by Thursday their name will be struck from the list Scouts are also reminded to bring in material to make on Thursday The Acton Scout Associa tion had two more invested leaders added to Its ranks on Monday night Cub leaders Bryan Alder and Arnold Park were both invested at the Cub meeting by the asaisUnt dis Inct commissioner for Large audience boosts two drama club plays DRAMA CLUB members took turns applying stage makeup during a rehearsal for the clubs two plays Sue left puts a dab of cold cream to Elaine Fosters chin while Laurie Pierce right waits for Sue Thomson to touch up her chin Teacher Geoff Samson gave cast members a lesson on makeup basics and then let them go to it A large turn out of theatre enthusiasts gave the high school drama club which has been inactive for a year and half a healthy boost Over people attended the clubs production of two one act plays One Spring Morning and Final Dress The 13member troupe with Geoff Samson rehearsed several times for the last Thursday evenings performance think it worked very well I was very pleased to have as large an audience as we did Mr Samson said The theatre season may live on for public school youn gsters Mr Samson said Mon day No final arrangements have been made but one play Final Dress Rehearsal may be taken to the public schools Mr Samson did made available from Kit and Cambridge and the Chamber of Commerce regarding the preparation of a Careers Reference Booklet Availability of business men and women from the Aclon area is i part the
