Queen sends plaque to pair wed 60 years The Acton Free Press Wed October A Jenny Mac received congrat from Queen Eliza I Monday morning on the occasion of their wedding anniversary The couple were married on October A 1916 in the Knox Presbyterian Manse The groom is the son of Archie and Elisa and the bride is the daughter of John and Allen Mr was born years ago on the old Beardmore farm just below the tannery and his wife was bom in Erin Township years ago When first married the lived at Warren Grove by the now present wartime houses Here they farmed 1929 when they moved to the area They tilled the soil there until 1948vvhen they moved back to Mr worked at P Green Company the town of Acton for J while before They ire now living on Church Street Three children The had three children Mills Ruby Mrs Ross Gordon Guelph and Archie Nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren followed Of Mr MacPherson s ten brothers and sisters three are still living brother Frank Streelsville and She was a school teacher for a pari of her life and met her husband while living wilh her parents at Moffat She is the mother of six children three boys and three girls One son is in Ihe mission fields His has been a specialized endeavour for he wis a well driller in India and Interest in Mrs has maintained her interest in Missions Whik her husband was still they spent seven months in four in
