a return address so Santa was unable to send them their letter He left it with Mrs Cox Christmas concert held at church on Sunday The Rockwood Presbyterian Church Christ mas Concert was held Sunday morning with Mrs Betty Post at the organ and Rev Donald Sinclair in the pulpit Carols were sung including Angels from the Realms ol Glory 0 Little Town Bethlehem Once in Royal Davids City Several of the Sunday School pup Is gave read and some recited poems One of the boys played several selections on his violin The S ly gave several muscal selections All numbers were enjoyed by all The closing carol was O Come All Ye Faithful The congregational dinner party followed in the Sunday School room with the girls serving Bibles were presented to the Senior Class of the Sunday School Rev Donald Sinclair welcomed guests from Ottawa Oshawa and He also thanked all who had helped w the program and the lad for a delicious dinner also for the greeting cards and the monetary gifts received by the family Alan roundup Wins medal by Kerry Chalmers Mr and Mrs M Milne had the family and the Hunter family sit over the weekend Miss Leslie Hill of White Plains New York called on several in the llage held at the home of Mrs A The hostess had decorated her home beautifully and the fire burning brightly In the re place lent a Christmas touch to the evening The meal was a pot luck supper consisting of delicious casseroles pickles and cheese followed by some delectable desserts with coffee and tea putting the final touches to a very lasty meal The roll call was then called An early Christmas memory The answers revealed some interesting facts Mrs Dyer and Mrs A McPhedran were the con veners and they produced some entertaining games Carols were sung and Mrs V Black accompanied Mrs Tosh sang a carol herself on the autoharp Mrs L Dyer read a poem entitled What Is a farmer which was very appropriate An exchange of gifts followed after which Mrs Dyer thanked the hostess for her kind and win a gold medal completing the 100 metre freestyle in seconds and in doing so became eligible to swim in the Canadian National finals in March against Ihe champion swimmers of Canada as a member of the Ontario Swim Club Eden Mills Brownie News by Diana Wallace We closed for Christmas with a lovely enrollment evening Mrs enrolled all our nine tweenies The girls being enrolled were Jennifer MacDonald Michelle Marie Annette McLaren Mary Abbott Patricia Koch Cindy Nicholson and Kathy and Carolyn Hannam The mothers and fathers of all of the tweenies came to join us and Mrs Edna Balmer our Commissioner for Public Relations for Ontario came too with the family of Mary Abbott The brownies entertained them with three skits and a puppet play organized by Delia Chcsworth and Michelle Wallace We then had a game and refreshments which Included a lovely birthday cake for Patricia Koch which her mother brought We then had our pictures taken by one of our brownie fathers Mr McLaren and we stood around our marsh- mallow and candy castle made by Mrs Beryl Blaak man who la one of our mothers Mrs then dismantled the castle for us Tbls was very exciting for the girls and they eagerly
