Sunday The men s choir favored with a beautiful anthem Next Sunday will be the annual outdoor service and picnic luncheon There are to be races in the afternoon The outdoor service Is to be held on the property of Mr and Mrs Paul On Sunday evening in keeping with the activities of the Centennial of the Ballln Church a delightful old- time Methodist class meeting devotional and hymn sing was held The Methodist hymns of John and Charles Wesley were sung A colored film Wesley And Times was enjoyed A time of fellowship followed as refreshments were served On Sunday June Mr and Mrs Dick Shortill Bessie and a nephew of Viola They are originally from Toronto but he Is on on assignment with the I which will be com next year The Saturday night dance sponsored by the hall board as usual was beginning of Ihe week the hall board met to make final plans for the Canada Day celebrations which will be held on Saturday July 1 in They are hoping for a good crowd There will be something to family reunion June 3 at Orangevflle Conservation Area where the large turnout enjoyed beautiful weather and the of friend ships with relatives Robert Leslie welcomed everyone and thanked the lunch committee for the bountiful lunch served In the pavilion Herb assisted by Elsie Dolson gave an im memorial service to the Leslies President Robert Leslie of Georgetown called the meet Ing to order and Jim Dickson presented the officers for the following year They are Robert Leslie Acton dent Keith Leslie first vice president and Margaret Hibbs second vice president Elizabeth Leslie was the oldest lady at the reunion and Leslie the oldest man Jean and Walter Burlington marked their wedding anniversary at the event Races and sports were ar ranged by the games com answered the roll call the Presbyterian Church Mrs D Lindsay told us of the Music Festival in Acton Mrs Marchington and Mrs F Campbell assisted the hostess in serving a delicious lunch Mrs H Scott gave the courtesy We all hope
