Cowan Lindsay or Cowan and more commonly K C as he was known to everyone died Sunday October in Georgetown hospital K C years old was born in 1890 on the family farm near the junclion of Highway and the Seventh Line where his son Donald the fifth gene to farm there He and his late wife Isabel farmed until C joined township staff as treasurer in 1943 Even before that he served the township as sheep valuator During years In the township office he took on many roles and treasurer tax collector and assistant assessor all at one He finally was ap pointed clerk treasurer where he remained tmtli his retirement in He retired Just before regional government Acton and Georgetown He was honored with a large party at the lime of his retirement Just two years ago a similar large celebration was held by his family to mark his birthday He was known as man with a remarkable memory giving data instantly but always warning he had better check it out He seldom was wrong He Is survived by three
