about her ambition to train young Canadian dressage riders on their own soil instead of always running off to Ger many She hopes to prove it can be done with her own case Rhythm and Important To assist in achieving her goal the diminutive lady 5 foot 1 inch tall 105 pounds is taking weight lifting courses at a fitness institute In or der to keep her huge horse under complete con trol in all movements She also been taking classes sense of rhythm Rhythm is most important in riding you have to feel where the horse feet arc going to give the aid at just the right moment In addition to her intensive training with Betty Jean runs a riding school of students and is responsible for horses Five of the horses are school horses three are her own youngsters in training the rest are boarders
