Nine vacancies Senior citizens view Elizabeth St apartments All but nine of the apartments in the new Senior Citizen Housing building on Elizabeth St have been allocated according to a Helton Housing Authority representative I never seen a building where there is per cent acceptance said housing authority tenant placement manager Pat Sparrer The unit building was open for inspection last Wednesday or applicants who had been allocated an apartment by Hal ton Housing Authority One unit aside for the superintendent Leases are expected to be signed today day Those leases become effective as of next Sun day according to Miss Sparrer One surprise for housing authority officials last Wednesday during the open house for applicants was the lack of hot water When the authority took possession of building the previous week there was hot water according to officials However as of yesterday Tuesday the building a go in has hot water said Miss Sparrer There was something wrong tank or vent There was some concern last week lack of hot water as to the date when people may move into the building One couple thought they had to wait until June As folks were walking along the halls or dropping by themselves they should hove made their preference known to the placement officer when she asked The couple went on to say they would take new apartment because they wish to get out of the one they are in This couple was also concerned about when they may move to their new address They had heard they could move in only during the day time during the week If people are having such difficulties they com unity to share the results of their experience The lBth will be an evening of information and entertainment for people who have helped the immersion program The students will also be thanking contributors to the program especially Bcardmore officials who donated leather for costumes This will be an opportunity for the students to summarize the experience that they have had over the post
