returned from their weekend in Lockport Sunday sporting a couple of wins and couple of crutches They spent weekend embroiled in six soccer games with their American Is a city of about north east of Buffalo New York At approximately six in morning Saturday two buses loaded with soccer players and supporters left Acton Three teams the bantam the Foxes girl team parents were on them The action started soon after the Acton club arrived with all three teams scheduled to play Acton bantam boys who have been in their league this year gave a de finite indication of better play to come with a well fought out opening match ending in a 3 draw Acton goals were scored by Tom Pop his brother Scott and Simon who tied the game in the final minutes The Acton traded punches with for the entire second game but were defeated on two secondholt penalty kicks The final gameof the day proved to be the most exciting of the tournament The Junior Trojans undefeated In regular league play this year took to the field against an intimidating squad many of whom were well into their second decade But the Trojans took a surprising 30 lead on goals by Dave Entwhislle Derek Hodg son and Paul Nolan The Americans rallied with three of their won to tie the game With the game winding down Acton netted his second goal of the game and the Trojans held on to win On Sunday the bantams continued the hard fought battle with Acton dropping the game 4 3 The lost it off a late free kick George Gidman picked up two goals for Acton with Ager booting home a penalty kick The Acton Foxes out for revenge played
