McGinnis Photos by DON HILTS Digest Trail Riders held their annual Trail Horse Trials recently and attracted riders from nil over southern Ontario as far away as Niagara and Grimsby Held at the Hallon Presbytery Grounds Blue Springs Line Ihe seven mile trail wound through surrounding bush and farm properties Eighteen obstacles were set up on the trail and horses were judged at each one receiving marks for their aptitude as a good trail horse Obstacles ranged from hills slides fires and caged a pond where contestants had to ride their mounts into knee deep water dipping a pall of water out of a tethered inner tube All horses completed the event billed as the true test of the trail horse no untoward incld happened and a chicken dinner was en joyed by all humans president Rhonda organized the event while Paul Cooper set up trail Ribbons and trophies were awarded in ad dition tp several donated prizes First prize con received horse blankets donated by Master Feeds and United
