Cole Porter and Meredith Wilson The second half took the audience on an to Austria with the music of Strauss and Franz with lyrics a la Gilbert and Sullivan It was the second hall which captured the fancy of the audience with Its humorous lyrics and threequarter time As a matter of fact sometimes the singers uttered rubbish and made it sound like oper atic confection And the audience loved it The Tapestry Slngera are only eight singers They are not really a choir but a collection of soloists with rich voices who can switch from barbershop harmony to high brow arias at the twitch of a baton Each Is an individualist with a voice trained to delight the ear The singers artistic director and director Leon Major familiar Viljas Song Jean SUIwell mezzo- were equally delighted Maxim s and The
