Shorts fired Confrontation between campers and youths Hal ton Regional Police are investigating a confrontation between a group of about 30 campers and another group of youths at the Breezes Trailer Park late Saturday evening in which three youths were injured and at least one shot was fired According to Staff Sergeant Graham of the Criminal Investigations Bureau the police report at 12 m Sunday that a group of carrying clubs were going through the campgrounds and one shot was reportedly fired Some people living in the area say there were two shots When four police officers arrived on the scene they found people milling about wilh most of them carrying pieces of wood The people carrying the wood were appar members of the campground the staff sergeant said Staff Sgt Graham said the people had allegedly heard that a group of youths were going to make trouble at the site and in stead of calling the police they armed themselves with pieces of wood that point ihe Staff Sgt said a number of youths came into the campground and some were detained by the police The police interviewed nine youths ail of whom stated they were taking a short cut through the part to the town Starr Sgt Graham said none of the youths the police apprehended were armed with clubs Three of the were slightly jured but none of the campers were in he said Staff Sgt Graham said that two of the youths were apprehended on the site and the others were apprehended away from the site A search of the site revealed no In another incident at the trailer park vehicle ownerships radio buttons and per papers were citizens mostly longtime Actonians turned out at Little school pepper commissioner Doug Mason and hydro commission vicechairman Murt with questions about planned bill service changes In late May Mason and commission chair man Bill Smith revealed plans move a veteran of the local hydro office Marge and a computer terminal head from Acton to Georgetown this This move has through Smith also announced plans to just have a student in the Acton hydro office for summer and then cut back to no personal bill paying service In September People paying cash would have to go to George town people paying by cheque would have to either put payment In a tray on the office counter or through a mall slot all bill questions would have to be referred to Georgetown and bill stubs wouldn I be stamped paid after
