13 Juniors back on track Gidman fourth with 97 and 71 wins After a couple of back to back Ontario Junior Fastball League losses it seems that the Acton Junior A a are back on track la action this past week the A picked up a pair of victories edging Kitchener last Tuesday evening and then coming up with a solid effort and a 1 win over Lin wood In Kitchener the A trailed after five innings but a six run outburst in he sixth lifted Acton to victory The hosts came back with two count of their own in the seventh but it was not enough Acton claimed a lead in the second inn tag as a walk to Gord McArthur and then base hits by Tim Baker Dick Spear and Kelly brought the runs home Kitchener got one back off Acton pitcher Boy Spear in the fourth and a walk and three straight base hits in the fourth brought home four more sending Dick Spear to the mound to get the final out of the inning Roy Spear started off the sixth inning uprising and followed by a double to Glen Scott walks to Gord action last Tuesday night the Acton Stingers clashed with a very much improved squirt team TuUmans took the lead In the first half with a goal scored by Caryn In the second half the Stingers come back strong with a goal from Coleman Both teams refused to give up trying Klnnon came close to scoring twice with two good runs down the field for the Stingers then s Sara Williamson returned the attack at the other end With only three minutes left in the game continued efforts paid off as they put the ball in the back of the net It looked like it was all over Tor the Stingers until Anne Marie Kinnon against J J s Sports ladies last week at McKenzle Smith Both teams played a very strong game but neither squad could beat the opposing goalie Jane Trueman Vermuelen and Linda Osso played ex ion ally
