controlled the puck Then suddenly at it and 12 16 the Derbys blasted three quick goals leaving a stunned Sabres ell behind Although at first a little disheartened the Sabres came back playing a strong style of hockey Capitalizing on their opposition mistakes seemed to be the Sabres plan as they rellled at 13 13 with a goal from Paul by Paul Cargill put some distance between himself and the defense and picking his corner he set the Acton squad back on track Moments later Fraser was the defense again and with an assist from Stan Smith he snapped a shot over the goal tender and the Sabres were back in the game Coming into the second period the Sabres were down one goal as the Derbys still con tlnued dominate the Sabres with hard skating and puck control However the Sabres still playing tied up the game after inter cepted a pass and left the puck for who counted his third goal of the evening From that point on however the game to get chippy Fights broke out and over minutes of penalties
