giving the Town a free eight foot white pine Among the Bicentennial projects funded is for Mayor Miller to plant a tree at the Royal Botanical Gardens Councillor Dave Whiting argued that when the regions giving the nearly this year something he isn t too pleased about the least they could do is donate the trees the mayors of each of municipalities will plant If the money was taken out Hal ton Hills would wind up being the only municipality without a tree at the Whiting suggested the mayor plant the free tree from the conservation authority However when it came to a vote Whitings view lost badly The conservation authority will not only give the Town the tree as a Bicentennial gift but will also plant it free of charge in any location the Town picked Staff Remembrance Park and council
