NORTH HALTON CURLING NEWS by CynUda and Partridge Curlers Compete For Langdon Trophy The Langdon Trophy was the major competition last week and 128 curlers participated for this event Capturing the first event and the Trophy Harvey with Dot vice John Reynolds and Mazie Hay lead fflnners up in the first were Doua Cram and his rink with Cornell vice and VI Bonneville The Second Event was won by Jim with Gall Sparks vice Don Nicholson second and Linda Linberg lead Runners up in the second were Ken Ewan and his team of Main prize vice Ron Young second and Eileen Man ley lead Third Even honors went to the team of Jim Wilson skip Marg Ellen sparing for Gert McGee vice Jim Bonneville second and Norma Rush lead They won over Ken Allen skip Norma Porter vice Bob Bruce second and Adrienne Pink lead The fourth event was taken by Gord Partridge and his team with Betty Broomhead vice Paul Anderson second and were Ken skip Dorccn vice McKeeman second and Carole Lusby lead A tremendous week was had by all who participated and our to Mike and Bob and Gall Sparks and the whole mixed committee who organized this club event The Business Girls cial Playdowns for our Club Representation was won by and her rink of Diane Mann Henderson and They beat the team of Peggy Crichton Marg Flaherty Jean and Cynthia In a best of two out of three games They now go to for the District Playdowns Harvey
