skit of the Johnny Carson Show was presented by Phi sisters Irene Soal Cheryl Beaton Diane Alls VivfanPeterman Doris Elaine French Anne Powell Lorrle Ryan and Eileen Quackenbush It was a smash hit with the audience as tears of laughter filled the room Walter the guest speaker continued on to create a mood of awe by the members as he told of his experiences In working with many famous stars such as Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kit He informed the members of the long hours of hard work needed to make a person become a success in the world of entertainment Mr also gave us a belter insight Into the role of the agent In making that success a reality for the performer As Mr Pascoe ended his talk the hands of many members went up to ask questions on the en tertalnment world as it is today Mr Pascoe with our guest sisters 1 The sisters of Phi held their elections for the chapter Executive Board on March 19 at the home of Mrs Cheryl Beaton Mrs Peter man president presided over the elections and meeting Vivian gave the members an Insight into ihe duties of the positions Tor the upcoming year The members then nominated their choices and elections were underway A ballot was handed In and a count made for each position and the elections ended with new executive posts being filled by the following sisters president Mrs Diane Mc vice president Mrs Diane Alls recording secretary Mrs Donna Irving corresponding secretary Mrs Anne Kennedy treasurer Mrs Sigrld Robson and co council represen tatlvcs Mrs Vivian and Mrs Cheryl Beaton The agenda of the evening was continued with the president and vice president welcoming Mrs Donna Irving a transfer from British Columbia and a four year good standing member of Beta Sigma Pnl Mrs Lynda Tyrrell and her new son Greg were presented a spoon by the Phi members to welcomt the new member Of the Tyrrell family The chapter discussed the Day program and the events which will take place on April to celebrate the blr thday of Beta Sigma Phi It was also mentioned that on March a mixed social will the home of Ryan the theme of the evening will be Canadian Graffiti A bake sale will also be held at Holy Cross oh Tuesday March at pm The members were asked to bring household articles and two desserts to contribute to the sale The evening ended with strawberry shortcake coffee and tea If you were a teen In the tittles when slicked back hair white till chow time when the table of salads cold meats and desserts were demolished by the hoppers Let It be said that the last mixed social of Zeta Phi was real cool man arid all the members are looking
