Five Report Last week on High Quiz the grade 12 teams from houses C and competed academically for house points The winners were tho team members of house C Because last Wednesday a High Quiz Involved students of grade 13 the questions were more challenging than they have been in past programs This made for a more exciting and Interesting match Tonights game should be even more exciting an a match between teachers and students Is scheduled The questions needless to say will have to be both challenging and fair to provide an equal chance for answers by either students or teachers What a game this promises to be The children of Georgetown have a treat In store for them Thursday June when Cable five is presenting a special magic show A magician is being brought In from a faroff mysterious Indusmin This is part of the rehabilitation program The Cubs and Scouts held their annual father and son banquet In Limehouse Memorial Hall last week Everyone Included the District Com Douglas Assistant DC for Cubs Terry Colter Assistant DC for Scouts Murray Harrison Constable Dixon for the RCMP and Dick Willis a baseball umpire Terry Colter spoke for a few minutes on what a cub Is and Dick Willis spoke on the philosophy and rules In all sports One theory Mr Willis believes strongly in Is that If a fight occurs in the game let Society Still Adoption Agency The Children Aid Society of Hal ton region wants to greatly expand Its membership in an effort to make more com munlty people aware of CAS programs and goals At a recent meeting the society board of directors expressed concern that here was an Increasing public apathy and In some cases hostility toward the society A lack of communication of new society programs and services to the community has been blamed It Is hoped that an Increased membership will produce both a corresponding Increase In the awareness of society plans as well as an Input of community feelings and concerns According to K Ask with CAS executive director
