although Georgetown played well fully deserved their win was leading at half time and In the second half a stout defensive effort by Georgetown held them to just one more goal MINOR ATOM Georgetown Brampton 2 This was a good game in spite of the wet and soggy field with Georgetown dominating play for most of the game At the half the score was for Georgetown with the Brampton goalie keeping the score down with some excellent goal ten ding Georgetown had the upper hand in the second half as well but on the scoreboard It was even with the teams ex changing a single goal each Marksmen for Georgetown were Mark Waters Eric Clark and Mark Williams Howie Oram and Kevin Gillespie played well in the Georgetown offense with Gary Morrow and Blake Harrison solid in defense MINOR ATOM Georgetown Georgetown had their best victory over Chlnguacousy in a long time In this game winning Mark Williams scored the first two goals for Georgetown after 10 minutes and 18 minutes Of the first half Mark broke in the clear on a pass from his defence The second goal came when a Chlnguacousy defender put the ball back to his goalie rather slow and Mark came in bet ween to beat the goalkeeper It looked as if the wind was in Georgetown s favor for the first half So the second half could have been a different story but again Georgetown started very strong although it was not until the 18 minute mark when Mark Waters broke through to score Eric Clark put the icing on the cake with a beautiful header from a comer kick at the minute mark These boys play very good soccer due to the good coaching of Bob Morrow and Jim Clark MINOR ATOM Georgetown 3 Burlington This was the minor atom best performance of the season They passed the ball very well and the defence played a superb game At the end of the first half Georgetown were leading on goals by Kevin Arthur after a clever four way passing play and Mark Waters Burlington started well the second half and scored quickly to make the score 1 However David Williams restored George towns two goal lead with a Beautiful header and Georgetown was in control up to the dying minutes of the game when Burlington scored on a penalty Striker Mark Waters and
