1925 and leaves his wife Muriel and three children Glenn Gaye 20 and Greig Mr Gibson joined the Raiders at the beginning of the season when Georgetown played in the Intermediate division of the OHA In 1947 Georgetown dominated the division losing none of their games and only tying one The division then was comprised of Acton Fergus Milton and Orangeville but the Raiders were so strong that they were put up to the Intermediate A division Tor that year The Raiders went all the way to the finals Rhodes played in goal Shropshire Chriss in defense Murdock and Storey in centre and Hurst Beaumont Bradbury and Gibson the devastating forwards The Raiders defeated Stratford Niagara Palls and P terborough before losing valiantly to Brant ford Redman in the best of seven final Mr Gibson was an integral part of the Raiders offense His speed on the ice led many lightening attacks and the following year Georgetown s debut in the A division he was their leading goal scorer The division consisted of seven teams apart from Georgetown Weston Acton Milton Fergus Oakville Legion Oakville Army and all bowed to the Raiders superior goal power They won the championship and also beat in the final of the playoffs Mr Gibson record that year was an example to everyone 19 goals assists points and only minutes of penalties In the five games of the final he scored in four In the last game won by the Raiders he scored three goals with one assist It was quite a year for the Raiders especially as it was their first year using artificial ice at the arena and thev went on to other successes in
