the phone Is Reverend Peter Barrow a contact centre volunteer advisor and director The Centre can be reached any hour of the day Herald Photo or night by calling a telephone befriending and referral service Whatever Your Problem Were Here To Talk To Georgetown Little Theatre Is not only working on their first production of Boeing Boeing but also very deep Into their second production Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs which is set to go on stage the middle of December Joanne Grant has taken the directors chair for this offering The play calls for a cast of and of the there are speaking parts and of the speaking parts 15 of them belong to children I believe this is the first time GLT has ever used 15 children In any one play Joanne has done something else differently She has cast her children parts but not the adults Her reason for this was that some of the members were tied up with the production of Boeing Boeing and she t want to do anything that would endanger the success of the first play of the year Also it gives her a chance to work with the children alone When the adults come into the picture the children hopefully will be either right up with or even past the adults as far as Self Serve Gas Waits For Bylaw moves and presentation are concerned One thing that disturbs any director is a play with music and of course what Is Snow a play that calls for music Most of the time this means the director calls around to see If he or she can get a pianist that Is free to help out This time Joanne was very lucky She h4 the talents of pianist Mrs Joanne a recent new member After only a few music rehearsals Mrs Lupton praised highly the children ability to learn quickly old and new songs for the show Some of the cast Includes Lynn Clark Ruth Allen Wayne Stephen Bigg Sandra Tan Amanda Roxborough Jane Truman Kelly Grant Heather McNeilly Robbie Horning Debbie McConneU Grant Halonen Julie Lamb Carole McConneU Kim Robinson Beth Cawher Lfane Deldre Arnold and Stacy Having problems Need friendship and understanding Call 1211 That is the number on the North Halton Contact Centre The centre provides around the clock attention to personal problems large or too small for the centre to handle In addition to the personal resources of the sixty mem the centre also can draw upon the knowledge and ex of ministers lawyers doctors psychologists and other contact centres The number of calls we receive justifies our noted Reverend Peter Barrow a director and advisor to the centre Volunteer training programs began last fall to prepare those interested to handle the needs of those making use of the centres services The volun are given experience In handling human needs and give careful attention to each problem If we don t know the answer well do our best to get it added Rev Barrow We someone to talk with ours a day each day of the year Money to operate the centre comes from private donations church contributions and through service clubs and organizations that believe the centre is a much needed and well appreciated community service Because the members must remain out of the public limelight in providing this service It is impossible For the centre to raise monies by canvassing tag days or any public collection The town of Georgetown has given funds in support of the centre in the past Members of the centre must remain anonymous in order to maintain a balance between their personal family duties and those of the contact centre The service is meant to provide friendship to those needing someone to talk to a fresh opinion and pleasant conversation The centre serves to guide and direct to point those needing assistance In the right direction We are here to talk to said Rev Barrow No matter what the problem we have the resources and the time to help in what ever way we can to make things a little easier Need a friend The North Contact Centre has sixty of them Interested In what you have to say a third reading to a
