HERALD Wednesday November GDMHA Weekly Roundup Minor hockey schedule Root Beer and Puck Days this weekend By RICHMOND The GDMHA have proclaimed this coming Friday and Saturday as A W Root Beer and Puck Days In co operation with the Georgetown A free root beer coupons will bo given out with every purchase of a hockey puck for cents These pucks can be purchased during the Friday night novice and midget leagues and also during the Intermediate Raiders game All day Saturday morning afternoon and evening we will be promoting the IS cent puck and free root beer coupons during our league play This Is a fund raising promotion with all proceeds going to minor house league hockey Any player who has not yet proof of birth is asked bring his certificate with him this week to be given to his league commissioner If you do not know your commissioner ask the help of your coach EQUAL ICE TIME which is the CORNERSTONE our house league hockey Is spelled out In a definite set of rules that coaches must follow These rules are split into three categories 1 Atom Pee Wee Bantam Midget and Juvenile and Novice The first category covering the Atom League reads as follows Ail boys save and except the regular dressed goalie must chance entirely on each shift no preference should be given to any players at this age when or with a man advantage This is based on a five on five off allotment If a team Is the player missing his regular shift must see ice time before his regular line goes back on the Ice If more or less than an even change of players exist at game time the last player must see ice time before the entire first group returns to the Ice surface Boys at this age should be taught to play all positions ATOM LEAGUE Chris 1GA Pik I The scoring was done in the early minutes of the game
