countdown has begun at last in most classes The countdown usually begins as the completion of subjects draws near Because of the countdown now comes twice a year This Is due to the change in subjects between semesters The countdown usually begins as the midsemester slump gets well under way This slump is characteristic CHECK OUR SPECIAL AIRPORT RATE Station Wagon costs shared AIR EXPRESS SERVICE AVAILABLE 8771878 8777722 GO GLEN TAXI of most schools since the students are very used to the of the daily routine students and teachers ore both becoming so used to the same people In the same classes every day that It seems as though everyone knows what would happen during their classes The only things that the students dont know are the contents of each class during the day For those who have lunches or spares the euchre teams seem to be well established from the beginning of the year Almost everyone will be looking forward to the change in teams which will almost undoubtedly take place because of the change in subjects next semester But some peoples lunch periods will change next semester so that it seems that everyone they know will have their lunch at a different time This might be hard on some people Dut most will find someone In their lunch period that they know when the new semester begins Also with the number of days getting fewer come the projects These projects always seem to come near the Christmas holidays They either have to be completed before the holidays or just after them Some of these projects were assigned in September but the teachers are reminding the few students who seem to leave their major projects almost to the last minute Sometimes these last minute projects have the best results This Is because the students who write them are in a great rush and when writing their thoughts onto paper they seem to fit together a smooth a logical pattern However the teachers still I seem to be able to pick out the last minute efforts Sometimes you may think that they can read minds as well as read between the lines The snow is flying once again as December gets underway The main attitude of students to the increased snow activity Is that they wish that there would be much more fall The snow seems to bring an added en thusiasm within the school but sometimes It seems to add the midsemester slump Perhaps it Is the lifeless I environment which the snow creates that causes this slump European handball games and basketball games are among the many sports that are taking shape In the December weather These sports should be very enjoyable for all those who participate and those who Must watch Last Friday the boys basketball team played Collegiate and lost with ascoreof8Sto59 Mark Rets of GDHS had points the highest score from either team Tomorrow lb a game for the boys as they play Collegiate from Toronto This game should be a very exciting game since has a great team Make it a point to tend BOOKS THE TAX FREE GIFTS THAT LAST at THE
