viewpoint Terrible injustice Herald columnist Do you remember the case a few weeks back when told you of a male high school student who wanted to take another male student to the senior prom The young man was a homosexual and the high school principal refused the request Well the court over ruled the principals decision and upheld male students righl to take a male date to the pram So it appears that the wishes of one sick mind wilt ruin the senior prom for the whole of Lincoln High School of Sioux Falls S activists are a threat to a decent society and society in general should wake up to this threat It Is my belief that a person has a right to make the best and the happiest life for his or herself as possible homosexual otherwise however this does not Include trying to pass off homosexuality as a matter of choice If a person is born with or acquires a physical handicap a game leg a twisted hand etc he makes the best life for himself possible He docs not go around trying to Insist he rest of the world view his handicap as normal Homosexuality Is a mental handicap Homosexuals aside from sexuality have the same feelings desires and goals as anyone else of course they can love children and pets and pay taxes The problem as I view It occurs when they try to Force a handicap a sickness down the throats of the majority who are not sick Wc all suffer when a minority group can force something that is not right on the majority especially in the schools The problem of course Is the silent majority that refuses to speak up until it is too late This particular case hap pened in the States but the push for gay rights is just as alive here It Is a fallacy of our limes that all people regardless of beliefs should have equal rights Equal rights have to be earned not handed out on a silver platter If we give the deranged equal rights picture our society There is vast difference between basic rights as human beings and equal rights as a full fledged contributing member of In Toronto recently the gays marched against police brutality and persecution I do not believe homosexuals should be persecuted by the police or society as a whole but activists present a pretty sick picture and in the final analysis cops are only human When we hear of police brutality wc seldom get the other side of the picture Its pretty hard to lead with your right while following the Marquis of rules when your opponent goes for your groin in a no holds barred Of course I believe that the police can and do make mistakes and sometimes an innocent person will suffer a terrible Injustice but generally speaking our police force is not out there to deal with innocent Stereotype gays on not the true picture either forget the imngeof the little guy with the weak wrist Some of these guys are lbs of anything but sheer delight Activists per se arc a pretty militant group It is almost impossible to be a retiring activists Some of the leaders for gay right arc among the most brilliant minds of this century but remember in does nof make ThcGcstapowere chosen from German universities and were among the most brilliant minds in Germany at that time Certain members of the criminal population border an genius but can give equal rights to those who mock society as a Basic rights to gays but no way arc they entitled to equal rights Malignancy starts in a single cell takes root and spreads soon it chokes out the very life It breeds upon Malignancy in society works the some way intellectuals trying hard to be in pass off gay rights under the guise of civil liberties they poo poo any mention a malignancy Would they feel the same way the growth was found on them Sometimes only a quick sharp em with the knife will save the body as a whole and only a quick sharp severing from society will preserve it from this spreading malignancy of the mind Full slate of activities in Bermuda this summer Hamilton BERMUDA Water are the keynote in a full slate of summer activities In
