providing boys and girls of Hills with a well structured program of hockey and sports inslruc lion in a fun oriented atmosphere Says one of the camp directors Chris Milne the Sports Camp Is getting better every year and the of the camp existence Is one proof of its popularity among the boys says Milne Leadership and a proven organized program are some of the strong points of this camp guided by camp dlrec tors Bob Tost Chris Milne Nell Cotton and Doug Ander The staff of the Sports Camp are all well known athletes in Kills who have distinguished them selves In both- sporting and teaching roles In fact three of the Instructors arc high school teachers in the area Chris Milne says that there is now an emphasis on having qualified teachers instruct at hockey schools rather than NHL stars Teachers know how to have fun with the kids and teach skills at the same time Milne says He is extremely enthusiastic with this years staff New to North Halton Sports Camp is Tom Martin a former Georgetown Chrysler Raid Toronto and a four year coaching veteran in Sweden Martin has ten years pro experience as a hockey player and ran a sports camp in Bra ma tea Nell Cotton Is a well known individual in the local hockey circles having played with Chris Milne and fellow Georgetown Raiders when they advanced to Campbell ville for the Eastern Cona championships Cotton is a teacher at Georgetown District high school and is in his third year with the Sports Camp He is a level three coach and Instructs in coaching clinics across Ontario Morley Locking also from Georgetown District high school be lending his support and guidance to the Sports Camp in their off ice program plays Industrial ball during the summer and was picked as the allstar West basketball coach of 1W1 He will be the Camp instructor who will look after baseball soccer swimming ball hockey and other fun orient aspects of the school Brian who is Cornel Universities star goalie will be assisting with the goal tender sessions on the and will work with other instructors on office activities which will pertain to goaltenders and their need to sharpen their reflexes and conditioning Dale Law Is a high school
