want Council coordinate the interests ol various local groups whin it comes to managing the new arts The Arts Council newsletter mailed out lo members patrons several times a year was described as helpful but not widespread enough Respondents wint the Council to act as a central information and coordination bureau for all arts related activities and to continue holding information meetings like the April panel discussion on the arts complex The questionnaire also Indicates that the Council should facilitate applications serve js an umbrella arts organization where political lobbying might be
