Medal for Sea Scout skipper bringing 27 years service to town BY JEAN LAYMAN Herald Special Mike and Ken Bowers of 2nd Trinity Acton Sea Scouls delivered a letter to Sandy Aubrey Booth of Ray lawn Crescent in George town Saturday to inform him he was to receive Medal of Merit Award for good service In the Sea Scouts Lieutenant General AC Hull National Com missioner on behalf of Chief Scout His Excellency the Gov en or Gen eral sent notice to Mr Booth for his years of service Mr and Mrs Booth moved lo Georgetown recently from Montreal and arrangements will be made to invest Mr Booth with his decoration In that city Sandy Joined the Scout Troop in Calgary at the age of 12 With his family In 1932 he moved to Vancouver where he was asked to assist with the St James Sea Scouts Despite being under age he took the Sailing Instructor a Course and was registered asa civilian and acting Assistant Sea Scout Master 1S34 Sandy took the Scout Masters Warrant course and was made Assist ant Sea
