and then by a drum beat vaudevilllan style and although the Jokes and the Archie Bunker type word mangl done by some of the characters goes over the heads of the kids the laughter of their parents at times becomes Slap and Tickle portrayed by Marie Cleaton and Julie Reynolds respectively provide more visual humor as they stumble their way through the play Their clumsy antics provide much of the humor for Ihe youngsters FALLS INTO Georgetowns Cheryl Mills gives a charming performance as Dame Foxtrots loving daughter Mary who fails into the clutches of the villainous Wizard of Bong more than once Most of songs have a quick tempo and the audience claps happily along with the music There are only a few Individual singing efforts which is Just as well since Cheryl Mills has the only trained voice in the cast of major characters Live musical is left up to pianist Austin and drum mer John Hartford but additional music for some of the graceful choreo graphy of the dancing Local hospital board endorses municipal complex proposal The Georgetown and District Memorial Hospit al board has formally endorsed a proposal to locate a municipal centre on Maple Avenue south of the Trafalgar Road inter section After considering the plan announced Nov ttat a town council meeting hospital administrator Fred Morris said In a press release Monday that the board regards It as good planning for the community and noted that it would resolve a number of concerns which might arise as the beds along with related hospital services A review of the hospital expansion proposal has Indicated that water pro blems in the Princess Anne Drive area must be corrected preferably by Installing a looped water supply system This would provide the hospit al with an adequate supply of water for regul ar daily use and fire protection if the building were suddenly cut off from Its existing water supplies Mr Morris noted that the Princess Anne Drive sewage system Is near capacity and doubted that It could handle the increase in wastes cipated when the hospital expansion Is completed Hospital growth Mr Morris added Is linked with policies in the towns official plan which expects the urban area to grow considerably as new housing developments axe built south of Silver Creek In Georgetown In addition provincial poli cies are encouraging more local care for senior citizens The need for additional access routes to the hos pital ambulances are limited to one approach along Maple Avenue was underlined by the wash out earlier this year of Maple Avenue following a heavy rainstorm The community needs a good access road from Acton and Highway any road access from Trafalgar Road Maple Avenue area will be an asset Mr Morris main tained While council not committed itself to the centre It has
