as staff from The Herald witnessed Centennial rock a thon It was a useful exercise that brought students teachers and parents together in one large gymnasium over a hour period The goal was to raise money for students projects and for chanties by sponsoring representatives to rock their rocking chairs continuously over a hour period Without sleep students and staff persevered and in alt more than was raised Its an example of how institutions can raise money for their needs without waiting for government handouts It takes a unique event to attract the imagination of and participants The
