Think BIG June 35 The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present B I G Many people ask what Is I G It stands for Business In Georgetown and is a celebration of business The first B I G Show was held in June of 1984 Its pur pose was to promote business to local residents Georgetown is made up of many commuters some of whom are unaware of the diversity of the products and vices local businesses can offer BIG showed these people that all their needs can be met locally The Chamber was very pleased with the results of I 1964 and decided that it was time to showcase local businesses again I G 1988 is now well underway a hard working Committee under the direction of Dave Kentner and made up of Chamber members and other interested groups are planning the I G B I G yet The Gordon Arena will be transformed into a giant hall with over 140 displays on the floor plus displays housed in a marquee located adjacent to the arena The weekend is intended to inform and entertain all who enter the doors In addition to the displays by local businesses there will be the B I G make your own Ice Cream Sundae Bar Ontario s BIG Balloon Release 10000 helium filled balloons Kiwanis Lobster Fest continuous entertain on the stage located in the Alcott Arena BIG Dance on the Saturday night in the Memorial Arena Fashion Shows I G Double Decker Bus Tours of Georgetown and much much more June
